Dr. Ravin Jhunjhunwala

Dr. Ravin Jhunjhunwala Chairman of the Orind and Shashwat Group of Companies, headquartered in Singapore.

A qualified chemical engineer, Dr. Jhunjhunwala received higher management education from Harvard Business School, USA and an honorary PhD

Starting his career at a very young age, Dr. Ravin Jhunjhunwala has pioneered the growth of the Orind group, starting from being the largest refractory exporting company from India to setting up manufacturing and marketing facilities abroad. His efforts at internationalizing Orind, led to the establishment of Orind China, one of the first fully owned foreign entity in China.

With more than 30 years of experience in the refractory industry, Dr. Jhunjhunwala has chaired several international conferences and authored / co-authored a number of papers, presented in conferences and seminars all around the globe. He is a life member of the Unified International Technical Conference on Refractories (UNITECR), the premier refractory technical apex organization. In addition, Dr. Jhunjhunwala has also held various roles in other refractory-related activities, including the Society of Engineers, UK Indian Ceramic Society, Indo-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, CAPEXIL (Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council).

Dr. Jhunjhunwala’s Major Achievements can be summarized as follows:

Founded Orind China, the first wholly owned refractory manufacturing company in China in 1995, which has grown to become the single largest Magnesia Carbon manufacturing facility in the world

Led the globalization of ORIND to become one of the leading manufacturers of Refractories in the Asia Pacific.

Strengthened and intensified R & D activities to develop international quality products

Chaired numerous international refractory and related conferences; Authored and co-authored many technical papers, which were presented in conferences and seminars worldwide

Well-recognized in the refractory industry, he has a number of patents under his name. He has diversified Orind into a truly global company, exporting to over 40 countries around the globe.

Mr. Praveen Reehl

He is a well-known figure in marketing of Refractories in India. He is a graduate from Delhi University and a Diploma in Marketing Management, MDP programme IIM (Ahmedabad) in 1988. He has an experience of over 24 years in the Refractory Industry. He has presented many technical papers in various seminars in India on varied industries like Steel, Cement and Copper etc.

Mr. Shiv Kumar Agrawal

Shiv Kumar Agrawal is a graduate in commerce from Calcutta university. He is intimately associated with refractory products marketing in integrated steel plants in India for the past 12 years. His skill in marketing & application of refractory products in steel making has helped the group a lot. His customer handling ability and skill has benefited and will be beneficial to maintain the existing customer base and to create new customers. He has undergone training in supply and application of Magnesia Carbon refractories.

Mr. Ajay C Sharangdhar

Graduated in BA with Hon's from Mumbai University, Diploma In Export Import Management, working in Orind since last 30 years. During the tenure, handled Export Marketing to Far East and South East Asia. Has been part of the team instrumental in achieving highest export award for Orind from CAPEXIL. Presently looking after Corporate Development, Liasonig with Banks and other Govt. agencies.

Mr. Harihar Swain

Post Graduate from Utkal University, Cost Accountancy (ICWAI), working in Orind Group for the last 30 years in India and China in various capacities. Worked with Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure of Government of India as Asst. Director Cost (Class-1 Gazetted Post). Handled various assignments as part of core management team in India and China.

Mr. Vinod Dwivedi

Commerce Honors graduate from SRCC, Delhi University, DIM, CAIIB.
Career banker for 25 yrs with vast mangerial experience in India and Singapore. Handled various assignments as part of core management team relating to Project/Finance Management, Corporate Credit,P&HRD,Capital Markets(IPOs,Mergers and Acquisitions)
