Dr. Ravin Jhunjhunwala Chairman of the Orind and Shashwat Group of Companies, headquartered in Singapore.

A qualified chemical engineer, Dr. Jhunjhunwala received higher management education from Harvard Business School, USA and an honorary PhD

Starting his career at a very young age, Dr. Ravin Jhunjhunwala has pioneered the growth of the Orind group, starting from being the largest refractory exporting company from India to setting up manufacturing and marketing facilities abroad. His efforts at internationalizing Orind, led to the establishment of Orind China, one of the first fully owned foreign entity in China.

Founded Orind China, the first wholly owned refractory manufacturing company in China in 1995, which has grown to become the single largest Magnesia Carbon manufacturing facility in the world

Led the globalization of ORIND to become one of the leading manufacturers of Refractories in the Asia Pacific.

Strengthened and intensified R & D activities to develop international quality products

Chaired numerous international refractory and related conferences; Authored and co-authored many technical papers, which were presented in conferences and seminars worldwide

Well-recognized in the refractory industry, he has a number of patents under his name. He has diversified Orind into a truly global company, exporting to over 40 countries around the globe.

Mr Ashis Kumar Das is the Managing Director of Orind Refractories ltd China 

Mr. Ashis Kumar Das has recently joined as Managing Director of Orind Refractories Ltd, China.

A Mechanical Engineer along with Diploma in Stastical Quality Control & Operation Research, Mr Das has over 40 yrs of rich experience in vast areas of operations in Steel Industries and has visited various countries, & steel plants for carrying out different assignments.
                       
The major part of his career has been in SAIL (Steel Authority of India Ltd),
where he has worked in many departments in key & senior positions- including overall In-charge of the Operations of an integrated steel plant and a member of board of directors of SAIL.

His contribution in operations of Rourkela Steel Plant, in Business reorganization & Profitability improvement of SAIL & in International Consultancy Division of SAIL has been noteworthy. After separation from SAIL, Mr Das has worked for 2 ½ years in Jindal Stainless Ltd. and under his leadership significant progress was made to implement 1.6 MTPA Integrated green field stainless steel project of the Company.

Mr Das is a Life member of Indian Institute of Metals & All India Management Association & has been associated with several leading Industrial bodies in his professional capacity, including council members of IIM & AIMA.He was also a member of the Committees on HR & Economics Studies, Working group on safety & Occupational Health of International Iron & Steel Institute as well as of National Safety Council of India. His Articles & Papers have been published & presented in many Indian and International Professional Journals/Conferences.

Mr. Segi P. Idicula is the Managing Director of Orind Far East Ltd., incorporated in Hong Kong. Business activities of the company include outsourcing, trading and engineering project alliances.

Mr. Idicula also facilitates in Human Resources Management and major raw material sourcing for the whole Group besides strategic alliances and Joint Ventures. Mr. Idicula is associated with ORIND for more than 18 years and is a key member of the Group Management Board. In his past assignment as the Head of Global Refractory Marketing, he has actively contributed to bringing in many prestigious accounts for the Group including six of the top ten steel producers in the world.

He started his career with Phillips Carbon Black Limited in Durgapur, India. Later on he also worked with Garware Polyester Limited, Mumbai, India as their General Manager for International Business. Mr. Idicula is a 1982 graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cochin and has done his MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila. He has participated and presented papers in numerous seminars and conferences.

Mr. Karl A.P. Eping

Hydraulic Presses and complete Plants for economical production of Refractories, under consideration of development of a good environment was from that time on his first priority target.
With a re-structuring process from 1998 – 2002, Karl Eping routed LAEIS to the nowadays most successful manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic presses for the refractory and other industries world wide.

From beginning of 2007, Karl Eping joined our ORIND GROUP as “Global Marketing Director”.
In continuation of following up his targets he will combine these with the ORIND GROUP targets and will support in leading ORIND to the biggest refractory supplier in Asia and world wide.

Mr. Richard G Arvay

President-ORIND USA Inc

Richard G. Arvay has over 40 years of experience in the refractory industry. Past experience has taken him to various positions within the field of refractories. He has been operations manager for three plants. He has planned,developed and managed the research and development and the quality control systems in several production settings. Richard was instrumental in the start-up and is still a key figure in the continued operations of ORIND USA Inc. in Trafford, PA.

His expertise in the field of refractories, and his extensive contacts throughout the Steel Industry has helped to secure ORIND's position as a major player in the USA refractory market. Mr. Arvay's experience as past president of Freeport Service and Supply has awarded him with the knowledge and contacts which have been instrumental in the years he has spent developing ORIND's presence in USA.

He now serves as President of ORIND USA Inc.
Mr. Arvay is a member of Pittsburgh chapter of AIST and alumni of Forbes Trail Technical Institute and Penn State University.

Mr.N.M.Verma

Mr.N.M.Verma is the Managing Director of Shashwat International Ltd., India .   Mr.Verma graduated in Ceramic Engineering from the prestigious Benaras Hindu University in 1968.He is an accomplished ceramic engineer from BHU with four decades of experience in the Steel industry. He is renowned for his expertise in the Refractory industry and previously headed the Refractory Division of Bhilai Steel Plant (S.A.I.L). He has a proven track record of project implementation and operations management with a knack of turning around sick/idling units. Background includes proven leadership capabilities, acumen for technical evaluation, reputation for implementation of projects in record time, good analytical skills, motivational skill for maximizing productivity at shop floor, tenacity to undertake cost cutting drives.
